our faces

poems

can you see my face, buried under the concrete. of once a beautiful place, now burning on repeat.

can you see your face, change form in the flames. when you watch me erase, on your walls and frames.

can you see my face, when you look at the sky. or did I leave no trace, can I ask you why?

can you see your face, when you hurt me like that. i picked the call to chase, someone i didn't have.

can you see your face, all empty and cold. when you see my face, begging for love and fold.

can you see my face, and the scars that build. would you still embrace, the part of me you killed.
